Basic Periodization Chart

Here's how it works. There are several great local races around Alabama in the month of April that this Individual wants to do well in. To race well at his level (Nessessary Form) his Race Form has to be above 200. Race Form come from low fatigue and high fitness. So starting in December, we begin training. As we do this, his fitness level will increase but so will his fatigue level, making his race form lower. Then as we decrease his training, his fitness level decreases a little bit, but now he is fresh and his form increases. As we do this over several periods, his race form comes together with a high fitness level just before the big events in April and the athlete is where it needs to be! The training schedules, periods and work loads will differ depending on the athlete, and that is where we come in. Even if your not planning on doing specific events, these training methods will allow you to reach fitness levels you never thought you could, prevents over training, burn-out and injuries.
